How Tap Tempo Works

A tap tempo counter measures the time between each tap. If your taps are one second apart, the tempo is 60 BPM. If they are half a second apart, the tempo is 120 BPM.

This tool averages your latest taps so a slightly early or late tap does not throw off the whole result. For best accuracy, tap the main pulse of the song for a full bar or two.
